Oliver is the first dog you meet in The New Cadets (book one of the Dream Ranger series). He’s a large, stuffed Yellow Labrador standing on a high shelf in his Portland, Oregon store. He’s been there for some time, waiting to be bought. And he is bought, that very day—not by someone shopping for a personal toy but recruiters from the Bureau of Dreams, a man and woman looking for toy dogs to become Dream Rangers. Oliver is an excellent choice, an attentive, well-mannered dog who asks intelligent questions.
