Amy Hoffard and Evan Maxwell are the team that recruited Oliver in his toy store. Amy is a bright, confident woman on the short side, age thirty-five. She runs a small detective agency when she’s not involved with Crossover. When she wants, she can come across as inconsequential, as someone to ignore. a considerable advantage in her detective work.
Evan, a sight man, around five foot eleven has a formal way about him. He too can be easily disregarded or written off as dull. Until he became involved in Crossover, this may have been somewhat true. But Evan is privately addicted to adventure novels and thrillers, and association with Crossover is putting him to the test. Evan owns a toy import business and communicates well with toys. He and Amy are cousins, close in age. They make an excellent recruiting team.
